| The Coastal Baseball Academy wishes instructor Mike Hessman the best of luck in the 2008 Beijing Olymics! Hessman is a vetern of professional baseball and currently among the leaders of all minor leagues players in home runs. Mike has had a great minor league career and has also spent time in the big leagues. In the Olymics, Mike will play for manager Davey Johnson, former manager of the 1986 World Series champion New York Mets. Mike teaches hitting and fielding at CBA during the fall and winter months. We are proud to have an instructor like Mike at CBA. Instructors like him are the reason CBA has the best staff in Myrtle Beach. Gavin Torri - OF Ryan Stewart - DH Carolina Forest HS Carolina Forest HS .409 Batting average Region VI-AAA Player of the Year Will Chandler - C Jeremy Knabb - P Anyor HS Carolina Forest HS Area's Best .638 Batting average 6-2 on the year with a 1.74 ERA and 13 HRs Colby Holmes - P Conway HS 9-1 on the year with a 1.07 ERA and 119 Ks The players above prove that hard work and commitment during the off season along with proper training can get you the needed edge over the opponents.
